Oana Zamfir

Oana Zamfir is a refined and versatile professional pianist whose artistry spans a wide spectrum of musical styles. At home as chamber musician, accompanist or soloist, she is appreciated for the depth of her musical partnerships and her poetic sensitivity.

Born in Galați, Romania, Oana quickly distinguished herself through numerous national and international competition prizes before continuing her studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest, at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and later at the Arts University Zürich (ZHdK).

Her artistic path has since taken her across Europe and beyond, earning invitations to important festivals and collaborations with acclaimed artists. Based in Brussels since 2017, Oana is currently a collaborative pianist at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp.

She is a member of the Carousel Ensemble and maintains an active duo with violist Mihai Cocea, with whom she released a debut album in 2025.
In 2025, Oana earned her Doctor of Music degree summa cum laude.

She is as well a dedicated pedagogue and piano teacher.
Beside music, Oana enjoys spending time in nature, with family and friends.
She loves jogging, biking, hiking, skiing, and cooking vegetarian meals.
